AIRFORCE TO LEAVE BIERSET

The Belgian Minister of Defense Pieter de Crem has implicitly confirmed that the military operation at Bierset, Liège Airport will be closed down. This is part of a series of programs to reduce the defense budget. There are 750 air force personnel at Bierset and 28 Agusta helicopters, and all will be transferred to Beauvechain. Nobody will lose their job.
