LIEGE AIRPORT IN MEUSE-RHINE

Liège Airport is making its presence felt throughout the region. We have reported earlier (in Issue 198) on its most recent results. It also made a major presentation at the Apple Park Hotel in Maastricht and will soon be holding press conference in Aachen. Work has started on the lengthening of the main runway to allow a fully loaded plane to take off. This will be completed in 2010 and will allow Liège to keep its place in the European cargo stakes. TNT is also increasing its investments in the infrastructure.

TGV Cargo is another interesting activity on the horizon, scheduled for 2012.
