EUPEN-OSTENDE INTERCITY

Minister Wathelet is supporting the rail link between Eupen and Ostend with the proposal of the Mayor of Verviers Claude Desama for a combined tram and train connection between Welkenraedt, Verviers and Spa. In relation to the tram-train connection the stop on the Eupen-Ostend route at Verviers would be dropped, but the Minister has approached the railway to ensure that the stop in Verviers is retained.
