MORE MAA VACATION FLIGHTS
[LOG: Maastricht, December 17] MAA is welcoming a lot of its old friends back, including the Turkish-Dutch company Corendon Airlines, which has been away for a year and will fly direct to Antalya. In addition to the return of Corendon Holiday Flights, the tour operator OAD will also be offering space from MAA to Faro and the Turkish coastal resort of Dalaman, which is also offered by Transavia. With the returning tour operators, flights will also be offered by sitting operators, as it were, in the form of Neckermann, Sudtours, Arke, Holland International, DTI and Seat Only. Neckermann, Thomas Cook, Pegase and Alltours will also be offering flights from MAA via German and Belgian travel agencies. There are also Ryanair flights to Barcelona-Gerona, which has done well selling out its tickets. There is also the Italian Volareweb which flies to Milan and puts Lake Maggiore and Lake Como within reach.
Maastricht Aachen Airport will be offering more charter flights in the 2008 summer season compared with last year. There are more direct flights, new tour operators, companies and destinations. There will be a choice of 15 destinations, with ongoing transfers via Amsterdam in respect of 11 of them. These are: the islands of Cos, Crete, Rhodes, and Faro, Malaga, Majorca, Grand Canary and Tenerife. These will be offered next year, as last year, by Transavia. There will also be direct flights to Faro; and, flights to Antalya by Sky Airlines are also on the program. In 2007 these destinations were only available in the peak months of July and August; in 2008 they’ll be offered from mid-April through end October.
