BIOGAS IN DUEREN
[INFRA: Huchem-Stammeln, October 12] The plan is for a two-megawatt plant that will annually process 10,000 tons of vegetation and 4,000m2 of liquid manure. This will make the plant in Huchem-Stammeln the biggest in the region. It is noted that the biogas plant will be odor-free.
Energy from growing crops is a hot issue and the water company Verbandswasserwerk Aldenhoven GmbH wants to participate in this lucrative new market. It’s planning a EUR 7m investment through the end of 2007 in the construction of a biogas plant on the B56 at the edge of Huchem-Stammeln.
