TRILOGIPORT GO-AHEAD

[LOG: Liège, October 10]
The Director General of Planning, Housing and Heritage of the Walloon ministry has granted a planning permit for the construction of the multi-modal Liège Trilogiport for the Liège region. This Walloon project involving an investment of EUR 20.6m, including EUR 4.1m from the Port of Liège, requested the permit in June. The public inquiry was held between June 29 and July 13.

There had earlier been a favorable reply from the Municipality of Oupeye –as one directly involved. The various parties in the economic interest group, including the ports of Liège, Antwerp and SPI+, the Liège development agency prepared a call for projects for the management of the container terminal and the management of the other logistical platform sites. The call for tenders will be launched at the end of the year.

Work in collaboration with the Ministry of Equipment and Transport will start in spring 2007.
