CHARLEMAGNE CENTER
[GOV: Aachen, December 20] The Charlemagne Center is hoped to be open in 2012 and will be the center of the new Charlemagne Route; placing Aachen where it always has been, at the heart of European history.
Minister Armin Lasche has brought a present for the city of Aachen from Düsseldorf. The North-Rhine Westphalian minister for generations, families, women and integration, passed onto mayor Marcel Philipp, at the city hall, a sum of money from the European Fund for Regional Development (EFRD) worth EUR 8,753,055 for the rebuilding of the administrative building on the Kastschhof in the Charlemagne Center. It’s pointed out that this was very important for Aachen. In total the construction project, an exhibition, will cost EUR 15m and the various procedures accompanying the project would begin immediately.
