UWC EUR 22M

The current plan for a United World College (UWC) in Maastricht, to be built behind the MVV football stadium, adjacent to the A2 highway entrance to the city, is budgeting for a EUR 22m investment and scheduled to open in August 2013. The city will raise EUR 8m, the Province EUR 5m, DSM & PIO (Promotion of International Education) will provide EUR 3m, and the remaining EUR 6m will be sought in Brussels and The Hague. Other signatories to the agreement were LVO (The Limburg Secondary Education Trust), the MosaLira Trust (20 of the city’s Catholic primary schools). See Issue 163.
