EUR 5BN FOR HOUSING

A major housing construction program has been proposed by the SP regional parliamentary member Edmund Stoffels. The proposal, supported by the socialist party in the Walloon government envisions an investment of EUR 5bn in the coming legislative period. The idea is based on the experience of the Construction and Living in the Germany-speaking Communities program by combining assistance from the towns of the region and the federal state. Private individuals can receive up to EUR 20,000 in support.
