LIMBURG AND LIMBURG ONE

During a meeting launched to mark editorial cooperation between the Dutch newspaper ‘Dagblad de Limburger’ and the Belgian paper ‘Het Belang van Limburg’, the Governor of Dutch Limburg, Léon Frissen, called for more cooperation between universities and knowledge centers in both Limburgs. The object of this is to prevent intellectual capital from being squandered and leaving the province and to encourage intellectual imports.

A couple of months ago, a charter was signed by both provinces in which plans were announced for cooperation between both Limburgs To develop the leading role of the region. Cooperation has got to be intellectual and businesslike, not just related to folklore and carnival. It must represent business and cultural innovation, said Governor Frissen.
