AACHEN’S DUTCH CONSULATE STAYS

There had been speculation about a reduction of Dutch consulates in Germany but the government had the good sense to realize that, in Aachen at least, the honorary consulate plays a vital role in the relationship between the two countries. Professor Helmut Breuer, one of the few true authorities on matters Euroregional, has been the Dutch honorary consul in Aachen since 2001.
