FRENCH TV DISAPPEARS

Camille Oostwegel, the Honorary French Consul in Maastricht and the President of Château Hotels & Restaurants, is concerned about the policy of @Home in removing the French TV stations RTBF 1 from Belgium, and France 2 and 3 from the cable. He has written a letter to @Home asking them to include France 2 and 3 again. He also finds it worrying that @Home took RTBF 1 from its analog package in Maastricht and Eijsden - an area which borders on the French-speaking area; and, indeed, where one hears French spoken every day. We shall come back to this issue, but it is one that is causing concern.
