Maastricht is hosting a unique conference for European caterers to share best practices and to gain knowledge about trends in the European catering industry!

The European Catering Conference will take place on the 31st of January and the 1st of February 2012 in Maastricht, the Netherlands, at the same time as the BBB Food and Hospitality Exhibition at the Maastricht Exhibition and Conference Center. The European Party Caterer Association (EPCAS) is initiating this unique conference concept in an inspirational environment, which enables the caterers to share best practices and to gain more knowledge about trends in the catering industry. In addition, the conference is full of innovative, but realistic food & beverage design and catering concepts, which will inspire professional and party caterers from Europe.

The European Catering Conference is inspired by the theme ‘New Thinking’ and guest speakers will talk about new opportunities, product and market development, trends, food & tradition and management. Moderator Arjan de Boer, director of Shoot my Food and keynote speaker René Boender, International trend definer and author of the bestseller “Great to Cool’, will inspire you with their storytelling abilities and their new way of thinking. During the conference, there will be workshops by professionals from the hospitality and catering industry. Professionals like Rob Baan (Koppert Cress), Jan Klerken (Kokkerelli), Jan Willem Bosman (Green Recycled Organics), Marie-Luise Weiss (Cup Concept), Arnaud Rannou (Mychefcom), Migúel Júdice (Lágrimas Hotels & Resorts) and Daniel Johnson-Allen (Moving Venue).

Caterers will also attend the BBB Food and Hospitality exhibition during the European Catering Conference. Afterwards, a VIP dinner will be held at the ‘Timmerfabriek’, an industrial factory, where food, art and fashion will be combined and pioneering concepts are presented. Afterwards, the caterers are invited to join the VIP party. To complete this unique conference, a ‘Walking the Brunch’ tour through Maastricht will be organized, enabling the professional and party caterers to get to know new and authentic Food and Beverage concepts in the city of Maastricht.
