FREE SOLAR POWER

The Berrentec Company from Beringen is going to put free solar panels on the roofs of businesses. It is expected that 700,000m2 of solar panels will be installed. This is the equivalent of 26 megawatts, which can power 5,000 family homes. The project should be a win-win situation for all. The Dutch investor Hofland Tol will provide the capital but will get certificates and premiums for it from the government. Berrentec will be paid for carrying out the projects. The client companies will finally receive free energy.

Berrentec hopes to be able to reach businesses primarily in Limburg. The project should also provide 50 to 100 new jobs. The business is currently working on the expansion of its location at the mine site in Beringen.
