CHAMBER NEWS

[BIZ: Roermond, August 18]
Under the heading of ‘Watt Mooi’, a campaign has been running in Limburg since the end of June, with business parks in the Roer area and Roermond at its focus.

The ‘Watt Mooi’ campaign, could, in Dutch, mean ‘How Beautiful’ - but the Watt, of course, here refers to electricity. It is expediting a process in the province, in the energy program, which is targeting 20% sustainable energy generation in 2020, 20% energy saving in respect of 1990 and also a carbon emission reduction of 20%.

With a European subsidy of EUR 2m, the Roer area and the Beitel business park in Parkstad and Beatrixhaven in Maastricht will be able to develop business projects under the heading of ‘Energetic Business Parks’.

The Chamber also notes, on another point, that since May 25 a new chamber of commerce number is to be issued, in the case of a transfer of business.

VAR, a statement on unemployment relationship, can also be checked online. This enables you to determine the employment status of somebody that you employ, and can be checked by calling 088 15 11 000.
