EUROPEAN PARTY CATERER
[BIZ: Düsseldorf, July 30] The main subject of the conference is the EPCAS Code of Conduct. EPCAS is currently developing a quality label and wants to develop its own Code of Conduct. This Code of Conduct will serve as a norm for the entire European Party Catering Industry. Chris Bigelow (Bigelow Companies Inc., member of EPCAS Board of Advice) from the US will again be part of the conference and will give a sequel to his presentation of last January. The other special guest is Peter Visscher (SixContinents). He will share his ideas and experience of Codes of Conduct. In addition to ‘the real life best practice’ from Georg Broich at Schloss Dyck, the European Party Caterers: Georg Zapantoulis (Jaarbeurs Catering Services, The Netherlands), Vincent Rombaut (Liberty Food Services, Bulgaria), Frank Lantz (Lantz Catering, Denmark) and Rudi Bachmann (Gourmet Paradis Catering, Spain) will present their business cases.
On July 30, the Maastricht-based, European Party Caterer Association (EPCAS) met for their two-day summer meeting. This time they are meeting in Düsseldorf, where George Broich (Broich Premium Catering) hosts this annual yearly event. For this special occasion, he will turn ‘Das Altes Kesselhaus’, one of his locations, into a conference hall. George Broich has also invited all EPCAS-members to have and take a look at ‘Classic Days’ at Schloss Dyck, a well-known old-timer automotive event where Broich Catering takes care of all the catering.
Traditionally, during all EPCAS meetings, members have the option of glimpsing one another’s daily operations. This is only possible if club members have confidence in each other, and this has been proven to be the case in within EPCAS for many years now.
