OVERLOADING TIPPERS

The Province of Limburg has signed an agreement against overloading that has been agreed by the greater part of the tipper-truck companies in South Limburg. The majority is represented in the tipper-truck department of Transport and Logistics in the Netherlands. Those who signed are not only taking responsibility for not overloading their trucks, but are going to play an active role with their clients and partners in this area.

The government is calling on all partners in the highway and waterway construction industry to follow the example, but the province is going a step further in actively supporting the agreement on overloading in the existing contract. In entering into the contract, the Province takes account of the prohibition on overloading and where this is possible the Province will play a role in the enforcement and in the consequences.
