The court in Maastricht has rehabilitated Duracar. On February 9 the company was declared bankrupt at the request of two smaller creditors. As a result of unforeseen circumstances, Duracar had not arranged the financing to avoid this and the creditors were not prepared to wait for another month. But Duracar’s protest has been honored. The management team and the owner of Duracar, the British company Earlston Ltd, are now going to get Duracar back on the rails. The first phase of the project produced five technically optimized prototypes and that was completed in 2009.

Duracar has also begun with a second phase in which customer wishes have been applied to a new model and things are ready for new production. The company is surprised by the great deal of interest shown in the vehicle.
