TNT GETS AEO CERT

TNT, Europe’s largest express services company, has received AEO certification for its activities in the Benelux countries. AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) status is a new standard created by the European Commission which benefits customers, in that TNT will receive priority treatment at European customs when customs officials inspect shipments. This allows the faster movement of goods through third country borders where AEO status is recognized and a reduction data sets for entry and exit summary declarations. TNT and its clients will accordingly benefit from fewer delayed shipments, reduced theft or vandalism and improve communication between supply chain partners.
