TESSENDERLO SELLS ZNCL2

The Tessenderlo group, which is active in the zinc chloride activity through its French subsidiary ‘Produits Chimiques de Loos’, has sold its goodwill in zinc chloride to Floridienne Chimie, a Belgian company. This transfer will have no impact on employment at the Loos site that will continue to manufacture for Floridienne Chimie.
This sale is part of the strategic repositioning of Tessenderlo Group.

‘Produits Chimiques de Loos’ is located in Loos (France) and manufactures mainly potassium sulfate, ferric chloride, aluminum chloride, bleach and caustic potash.
Approximately two hundred people work at the Loos site, including about 10 for the production of zinc chloride.

For Floridienne Chimie SA, this acquisition is part of its strategy to consolidate its European leadership as a producer and distributor of zinc chloride and as a recycler of galvanization baths.
