LIOF YEAH!

[BIZ: Maastricht, February 17]
To mark its 35th anniversary, LIOF is organizing a competition for students as starters in business. The project, LIOF Yeah! (Young Enterprise Award Happening) has as its objective the encouragement of students to start in business. LIOF is offering a package worth EUR 35,000 to the ten best start-ups. In the month of March those students interested can register their business plan at the website. These are students from Dutch secondary and higher vocational education, and from university.

On Friday June 18, a vote and a jury assessment will be made on the Internet during LIOF’s mid-summer meeting in Venlo, and the students who have won will be informed. One of the ten will be chosen as the best.

LIOF wants to encourage young business people. Fontys Hogeschool, Hogeschool Zuyd and Maastricht University have facilities to support their students, and the LIOF project links into this in the form of starting capital, an innovation subsidy, housing, etc. Students can register from March 1. Check the website for details.
