A BOOST FOR HOUSING

The Province of Limburg has introduced a revolving fund for home improvement for those who want to improve their homes above shops or other auxiliary housing options. The proposal has been put before the provincial government for approval. The idea is to make the grants from the home-improvement fund for those who are interested. The municipalities have been invited and the province sees this as a new opportunity; it could also be combined with programs such as the energy subsidy options.

Starters Help was supposed to end in 2010 but this will go on until 2011, and a budget of EUR 5.2m has been reserved for it.
