CARGLASS WINS AMBIORIX PRIZE

The specialist in car windscreens, Carglass, based in Hasselt has won the prestigious Ambiorix prize. This distinction presented by the Limburg employers association rewards a Limburg company that shines in terms of the quantity and quality of business, and it devotes a great deal of attention to its staff and the environment.

The jury and the board of the employers association award the prize annually during a major event in the presence of leading personalities. This year Premier Herman Van Rompuy handed the statue to Rik Poot, the winner, and the chairman of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso was present.

Carglass repairs windscreens and it is part of the world’s largest car glass group Belron, property of the Belgian company D’Ieteren. It employs more than 700, has a head office in Hasselt and 41 centers in Belgium and Luxembourg. Check the website.
