WORLD CLASS MAINTENANCE
[BIZ: Maastricht, September 22] Limburg has now joined World Class Maintenance and pays EUR 100,000 to the organization which has its head office in Breda. The office is necessary, because there needs to central coordination. Limburg is putting its Aviation Competence Center at the airport into the project, and no doubt others will follow.
The south of the Netherlands has a large number of capital-intensive industries and is therefore particularly concerned with professional maintenance companies. As a result, the importance of the professional maintenance of capital goods is increasing considerably. This is not only recognized by entrepreneurs but also by educators and politicians who are aware of the added value of the maintenance sector.
Maintenance has also been earmarked in the national economic development program "Pieken in de Delta" [peaks in the delta], which has resulted in the setting up of the World Class Maintenance program. This is supported by the provinces of North Brabant, Zeeland and the European Funds for Regional Development (EFRO).
