DSM IN TATARSTAN

DSM has announced that its nutritional products division has signed a letter of intent with Tatenergo JSC. Royal DSM N.V., the global Life Sciences and Materials Sciences company headquartered in the Netherlands has announced that DSM Nutritional Products Ltd. has signed a Letter of Intent with Tatenergo JSC (Republic of Tatarstan) and the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan for the construction of a micronutrient premix plant for animal nutrition in the Republic of Tatarstan and the establishment of a joint venture.

DSM Nutritional Products will deploy its latest technology based on the experience of having built and operating 46 premix plants worldwide in the fields of Human and Animal Nutrition & Health as well as its long-lasting experience in service and provision of know-how as a leader in its industry. Tatenergo and the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan will provide the maximum support to this project.

Mr. Rustam N. Minnikhanov, The Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, lends his full support to this high priority project. He sees it as an important step towards reaching self-sufficiency in animal feed production for the Russian Federation.
