A LETTER FROM ERIC VELDHOEN

[BIZ: Maastricht, April 28]
Eric Veldhoen, a pioneer in the role and structure of the modern office, has decided to leave his own Veldhoen company. He writes:

‘When I sold all of the shares of Veldhoen & Company to TBI Holdings in 2005, I did so in the conviction that I had found a partner with whom I would be able to give a direction to management to enable the continuity and further development of our company both in breadth and depth ; and, from this perspective, my decision to leave the company is a great disappointment.

Certainly, in these difficult times, I would like to have used the entrepreneurship that I have demonstrated over the last 20 years to give an extra impulse to the company, but there was no room for this.

I shall continue to adhere to the principles of my intellectual heritage and further develop them to create a better life. I think that those who have believed in me have inspired me and found inspiration in me.

This is not goodbye. There are always opportunities for change, and new insight will be the basis of a new challenge in my own professional life.

I was always available for everybody and approachable, and that will remain unchanged in the future.

‘Until we meet again, Erik Veldhoen’
