CHIO AACHEN DOING WELL

[BIZ/LEI: Aachen, April 24]
Aachen’s racetrack partners are sticking to the Aachen–Laurensberger racing association despite the financial crisis. The crowd is growing and advance sales for the CHIO 2009, June 26 through July 5, is up 1.5% and achieving record numbers. In the spring there were 357,250 spectators. It would appear that investments in the past are paying off.

As football and most equestrian events don’t take place at the same time, it means that parking facilities can be shared.

‘Horse & Symphony’ is a new show for June 27 and all would appear to be going well. The ALRV company is investing half a million in the new sports park.
