BAM SUSTAINABLE OFFICE AT MAA

[BIZ: Maastricht, March 27]
BAM Utiliteitsbouw [non-residential construction] Maastricht has moved to new sustainable office premises on the Amerikalaan at the Maastricht-Aachen Airport business site. This office building, which will house BAM Utiliteitsbouw and BAM Wegen (non-residential construction and roads), has been built by the company itself under its own supervision. The key word for the project was Green. BAM has selected an office that makes optimum use of sustainable building materials and technology. BAM Utiliteitsbouw employs 100, 45 of whom are at the office, and its sister company, BAM Wegen, for the southeast region, has 12 staff at the office.

BAM made a conscious choice for sustainability, although the initial costs are somewhat higher, according to the head of planning and real estate development, Alex Bustings. ‘The interior is green, open and natural, and we believe that our staff will feel better in this harmonious environment.’
