TOMORROW’S WORLD
[BIZ: Heerlen, January 28] The program started as an educational program at Hogeschool Zuyd and four energy-saving, intelligent buildings were constructed. The public space was developed at Avantis and presented there. It is an educational and research project involving Hogeschool Zuyd, Arcus College, InstallatieWerk Zuid-Oost, Fundeon, Herle College, and 60 companies and corporations and the government. The program is intended to have an innovative effect on the market and it was enabled by a subsidy from SenterNovem. TV recordings were made possible by Technocentrum South Limburg. On Wednesday 28 the innovative program ‘Tomorrow’s District’ started at 10:00 at the Avantis European Science and Business Park. During the program presentations were given on the implementation. Mr Seijben, the director of Avantis, Mr. Bergmans (director De Wijk van Morgen BV) and Mr. Rovers (Lecturer in the built-environment and regional development) were responsible.
