LIMBURG’S NANOTECHNOLOGY

[BIZ/SCI-TECH: Maastricht, January 17]
Nanotechnology is ready for a takeoff in Limburg. Expectations are that the market for nanotechnology will be worth EUR 450bn in 2010. This figure has been calculated on the basis of the wide range of feasible applications in coatings, textiles, composites, the automotive industry, and construction.

The province of Limburg wants to be seen as a top technology region; and, for that reason, it is supporting NanoHouse. NanoHouse is concerned to get businesses involved in this technology in Meuse-Rhine together to assist them to achieve nanotechnological results. Partners are: DSM, Hogeschool Zuyd, De Unie, and Syntens, and all fall under the Acceleration Agenda. Check the website.
