OPEN CHEMICAL INNOVATION

The Province of Limburg, DSM/Chemelot and The Limburg Development Company LIOF are to cooperate on the establishment of a Center for Open Chemical Innovation (COCI) at the Chemelot Campus in Sittard-Geleen. This type of center is designed to accelerate the growth of existing new business, active in chemicals and new materials. The COCI will provide a location, funding, support services, coaching and networking. Chemelot is viewed as ideal for new materials, because of the track record of other companies already on site (e.g.: Dyneema). The establishment of the COCI at Chemelot, a first for the Netherlands is supported by the national innovation platform.
