MECOM IN HOLLAND

[BIZ: Maastricht, June 30]
The European Journalism Center in Maastricht reported in its newsletter that the Mecom Newspaper group, now the owner of the Limburg Media Group, is to cut up to 465 jobs at its regional business Wegener in The Netherlands. Mecom owns more than 300 papers in Europe and employs 11,000. On June 30, it was reported that the Wegener Board had resigned.
