EVS Q1 2008

EVS Broadcast Equipment in Liège achieved revenues of EUR 25.40m in Q1 2008, representing a rise of 27.8% over the same period last year. On the basis of steady exchange rates the rise would have been 32.7%. In Europe the rise was 109.8% and in Asia and the US 15.7% and 15.1%. In the US there was a drop of 2.9% in the context of stable rates of exchange. EBIT, for the same period, was EUR 17.10m, or a rise of 32%, in comparison with the first quarter of 2007. The earnings per share were a record at EUR 0.86, a rise of 37.1%. Without taking account of the XDS, a subsidiary company, there was a rise of 38.9%. EVS wants to pay a dividend of EUR 2.28.
