CAMPSITE FOR SALE

Flanders Tourism, who run the Kelchterhoef recreational site in Houthalen-Helchteren, have reached an agreement by means of which ‘The Binnenvaart’ at the site can be sold to a private company. Kelchterhoef made it clear two years ago that it didn’t see any future in running the campsite but the sale had to be implemented first and an end had to made of the relationship between Kelchterhoef and Flanders Tourism. The new owner must, according to Flanders Tourism, set-up a short stay area with permanent caravans. Current campers with a spot there will have the opportunity to extend their annual contracts. It is hoped that a buyer will be found by the end of the year.
