ALSTOM AND ESSENT

Alstom has concluded a number of contracts with the Dutch company Essent worth close to a billion Euros that includes the creation in The Netherlands of a combined gas and steam plant (1,280 megawatts).

Within these contracts Alstom is going to overhaul the 64-megawatt steam turbine at the existing Claus B plant, and build another plant at Claus C, which will lead to the creation of a combined cycle with a power of 1,280 megawatts at Maasbracht. These orders should be registered in the second half of 2008–2009.
