TNT TAKES LHS TO COURT

TNT, the express cargo operator, has submitted an interim injunction at the court in Liège. It wants Liège Handling Services (LHS) to stop a number of its activities at Liège Airport. In TNT’s view, LHS has no right to carry out certain activities at the airport including loading and unloading aircraft. This concession was granted to TNT and Aviapartner for the 2006–2009 period, but in the view of the Liège airport plan, to divide the airport into two zones, another company could carry out these activities. The plan was, however, not implemented. The decision is expected in July.
