LIOF AND LEISURE
[BIZ: Maastricht, June 18] Contributions will be judged by a committee of experts, including representatives from LIOF and a number of prominent Limburg businesses active in the leisure sector. Some of these businesses have agreed to play a coaching role. The prize will be awarded when the funding has been completed. LIOF wants to play an active role in this phase. Intake, administration and communication are handled by Frank Verkoijen, Project Manager for Leisure in Maastricht.
The Limburg development company LIOF is going to play a proactive role in the further development of the Limburg leisure sector. In addition to the role that it already plays in large-scale leisure projects (like Gaia Park), LIOF now wants to help start-ups with their ideas and is putting up a leisure encouragement prize worth EUR 10,000 for a business that comes up with an innovative idea to develop offerings in this area in Limburg. The criteria are practicability, size and the availability of company funding. Projects must have an extra-regional character and a minimum investment volume of EUR 200,000 and they should not disrupt the market.
