HANSEN 6000 MW CAPACITY

Hansen Transmission has expanded its plant in Lommel. The company now has 20,000 cogwheel units for wind turbines. The expansion required an investment of EUR 180m. Hansen currently has a 6000 MW capacity on a total area of 110 m2. The company says that it wants to play a bigger role in the growing wind energy market by expanding the production of multi-megawatt drives for bigger windmills. Hansen Transmission has plans to expand its capacity for the production of cogwheel units through 2012 to 13,300 MW.
