CREME DE LA CREME (L)
[BIZ: Dubai, June 10] With it’s ice salon in Dubai, Crème de la Crème can bridge the quiet winter period in Europe. Products include seven flavors for the Leonidas chocolate factory and ice cream under a private label for well-known chains in Germany and Belgium are part of their strategy. Crème de la Crème will also be exported to Finland, France and Hong Kong. ‘Our export figures in 2006 were EUR 1.4m and they’ve now risen to EUR 3m,’ said Zweegers, who started the company in 1999 and then had to put up with the dioxin crises. But success would seem to have crowned their efforts.
Crème de la Crème, the Limburg manufacturer of quality ice cream, is opening its first branch in the United Arab Emirates. A contract has been signed with an investment group in Dubai. CO Rik Zweegers announced this when the company moved to its new premises in Hasselt. It represents an investment of EUR 1.5m.
