ONLINE MEUSE-RHINE STATS

[BIZ/GOV: Roermond/Aachen, June 2]
The Meuse-Rhine Euroregion has a new and unique service known as the EIS or Euroregional Information Service. This new platform provides up-to-date, cross border, comparable data. These are available according to individual requirements at the link below. They are comprehensive, covering themes like population tourism; employment; the economy; and innovation.

The new portal, which was developed under the leadership of the Aachen development AGIT, has gone online following a tri-national symposium on cross-border statistics in Roermond. A special characteristic is provided, not only by the transparency but by the comparable data, for the first time this is material provided by a tri-national border region. The range of options and the presentation of searches in this form are unique. With very few clicks, the user can find information on all municipalities and districts and partner regions in the Euroregion for more than 100 indicators, including relevant graphs and thematic maps. There is also the statistical yearbook published last year called The Meuse-Rhine Euro Region In Figures, with entirely up-to-date statistical material.

Figures show Meuse-Rhine as the most innovative economic region in comparison with its competitors in Europe. The yearbook can be obtained without charge from AGIT at p.gier@agit.de. The project was supported by INTERREG III-A funding.
