IOPENER RESTARTS IN AACHEN

iOpener is a young, dynamic organization with its headquarters in Aachen and a R&D office at the University of Delft in The Netherlands. In 2007 iOpener successfully participated in the European Space Agency business incubation initiative. Backed by a seasoned venture capitalist, iOpener is shaping up to be a leader in providing real-time data on games and the virtual world through its patented technology using satellite navigation technology. It has developed a technology to map real-world competition, such as Formula 1 motor racing on to an artificial world, allowing gamers to participate in the race virtually and in real-time. The product is based on satellite navigation technology from the European Space Agency. There is a small specialized team with seven Dutch, French, English and German staff, which and will be engaging the world from Aachen this year. The company grew out of the European satellite navigation competition in 2006.
