AMB RATING CONFIRMED

On the third consecutive occasion, the AMB Generali Group has been assigned the best rating currently granted by Standard & Poor's (S&P) to a primary insurer in Germany. All companies considered by S&P as core to the Group have an AA rating ("very strong"). With this outstanding result the companies of the AMB Generali Group underline their top position in the German market.

S&P regards the strong competitive position and operating performance, which is in particular illustrated by its attractive and customer-oriented product mix in comparison to its German competitors, as the major strengths of the AMB Generali Group. According to the rating-report, the companies are managed as a unity with different brands and primarily run their business through various distribution channels. S&P has a "positive" view of AMB Generali's management and strategy, which is the highest possible rating. According to S&P the track record demonstrates the achievement of strategic objectives in recent years. Furthermore, the rating agency recognizes that the Group is core to the international Generali Group. S&P perceives the Group-wide cooperation in terms of enterprise risk management, asset management and IT as further underpinning its core status. The outlook remains stable.
