INTERREG FLANDERS NETHERLANDS

The European Commissioner for Regional Policy, Danuta Hübner, the Flemish Minister Patricia Ceysens and eight provincial deputies gave an official start to the implementation of the cross-border cooperative program, Interreg IV, for the Flemish-Dutch cross-border region for 2007-2013. In order to encourage cross-border activities in the region, Europe is going to invest EUR 94m in the next six years. The emphasis is primarily on people, economics or the environment and contributions to sustainable socio-economic development of the whole border region.
