LIOF & HIMO MONSCHAU

In recent times, networking cooperation, using contacts has been on everybody’s agenda because it broadens horizons and leads to synergetic effects and to new business. There are regular sessions on this topic at HIMO in Monschau (a business innovation center) run by the director Theo Steinröx and the head of the center Silke Marczincik. “We are doing our best to slim operations down, to optimize business and to meet the challenges of the future”, say Mr Steinröx.

There are regular exchanges at the center among the 13 technology centers in the region and this time it is with The Netherlands. The project goes under the heading ‘Learning from neighbors in strategic and practical innovation’. And since the summer of 2007 there has been cooperation between the LIOF business centers and Monschau, which is the current focus.
