A PLACE FOR ART

AINSI is to be a new center in Maastricht for new business in the area of art, industry, nature, society and innovation (AINSI), and there is funding for this. It means that businesses will be able to rent office space at around EUR 5,000 a year (excl. VAT) or a workshop for EUR 4,000 per annum.

There is a foundation called the New Creatives (NC Maastricht) which is going to run the organization and it is chaired by Henri van Muyden with support from ABN-Amro, DSM and a major advertising agency. Paul Rinkins of Qbic Hotels is also a member of the commission.

New businesses will only be able to rent space if they pass through the ballot committee without getting blackballed. This new cultural center is going to be on the top floor of the old ENCI cement factory which has a super view of the city and the Meuse.
