TORTILLAS FROM LIMBURG

Mexma Food is a new business producing tortillas and wraps in Kerkrade. It is an idea of the businessman Ger Stevelmans, who has a background in bakery products. He is working with 40 staff at the Dentgenback business park with a high-care production facility and high-tech control system. The plant is 15,000m2 including a production area of 4,400 and has a planned capacity of four bakery lines producing 30,000 tortillas an hour. LIOF, the Limburg development company, has taken a 28% stake in the business.
