CITY LOFTS IN BERINGEN

The British company City Lofts is going to build at a new location on the coal harbor in Beringen. This will provide 300 jobs in the first phase. The company specializes in energy saving packages for the construction of houses and apartments. The packages will come from England; and, in 2010 City Lofts will be operational. In the beginning, the factory will cover 25,000m2 excluding stock with materials in containers, and this will be approximately half the production requirement for 4,000 homes and for the employment of 300. This means a final total of 8,000 containers, 85 via the channel, and 15 by road and rail. City Lofts wants to start in mid-2008 with its plant so that it can be operational on January 1, 2010.
