LIOF CRADLE… VOUCHER
[BIZ: Maastricht, December 21]
The Limburg development company, LIOF, is going to make EUR 150,000 available to acquaint 20 Limburg companies with the cradle-to-cradle principle. Essentially, it means, instead of designing cradle-to-grave products, dumped in landfills at the end of their 'life,' MBDC transforms industry by creating products for cradle-to-cradle cycles, whose materials are perpetually circulated in closed loops. Maintaining materials in closed loops maximizes material value without damaging ecosystems. LIOF is going to offer vouchers which will enable products and processes to be tested in terms of this cradle-to-cradle principle. A scan costs EUR 10,000 and the voucher covers three-quarters of the cost, or EUR 7,500. The business pays EUR 2,500 out of its own funds. The link gives background information.
