People making the attractions in funfairs and adventure parks are doing well again, and after a drop in sales, Vekoma Rides, in Vlodrop, is profiting from the upturn in the market and looking for qualified staff. It is noted that in China there are a great many of these parks with adventure rides etc around 200 at present and in the US there are 1,000. Vekoma is linked to the Huisman Itrec company and a crane company in Schiedam which also has a location in China, and this helps a great deal in the cost of Vekoma Rides because production can partly take place at the final destination. Design and assembly, with sales in Europe is run from Vlodrop which currently employs 100, including highly trained technical and commercial staff.
