SERVATIUS IN EDUCATION

The Maastricht housing corporation Servatius is concerned with education. The Service and Maintenance Dept, which looks after rental property, is often looking for students who want to qualify in the skilled trades, as a plumber or a painter, and Servatius is also concerned with the organizations in the weekend school (who knows?) that gives children from disadvantaged areas a chance to learn about industry, business, science and art at the weekends. The future United World College building, on the Tongerseweg in Maastricht, is being rebuilt and upgraded by Servatius, and Servatius is building the campus in Randwyck which the City Council believes will encourage the students to stay in the city as long as possible by offering them start-up locations for businesses on campus.
